ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
Dear Future YEG presents Love Letters to YEG, a youth-led art exhibition showcasing Edmonton through our eyes. Our group exhibition explores community wellness and resilience through various mediums including poetry, visual art, digital art, photography, mixed media, textile, and sculpture.
Art can serve as a powerful tool for storytelling, dialogue, and fostering connection. We aim to reduce barriers to entry for communities that have historically been excluded from artistic spaces.
Through arts-based storytelling and civic engagement, Love Letters to YEG will create an accessible, safe, supportive, and inclusive space for diverse youth to tell their stories on their own terms.

APPLY TO THE EXHIBITION
We are currently accepting submissions for Love Letters To YEG.
Selected artists will be included in the exhibition and receive a $150 honorarium, with additional opportunities to lead workshops, engage in panel discussions, and connect with the local arts community.

Deadline: February 22, 2026
Open to: Local artists who self-identify as being from racialized communities (including Black, Indigenous, or people of colour).
Mediums: Poetry, visual art, digital art, photography, mixed media, painting, ceramic, prints, textile, and sculpture.
This exhibition is dedicated to centering, uplifting, and amplifying artists from historically marginalized racial and ethnic communities. We acknowledge that these communities are diverse and encompass many Nations, diasporas, and lived experiences. We honour self-identification and recognize that language around identity is imperfect and continually evolving.
