Through guided workshops, mentorship from facilitators, and hands-on creation time, participants will co-create a community zine featuring:

• Poetry and personal essays

• Visual art and illustration

• Photography and mixed media

• Reflections on civic participation, mental health, access and belonging

Disposable cameras will be distributed for the attendees to share and capture the event! Each photo will capture the Zine Lab through the eyes of the participants, volunteers, and facilitators. The photos will then be scanned and uploaded to a digital magazine on the Dear Future YEG website. Each participant will be credited for the creation of this digital magazine and can be sent digital copies of certain photos upon request.

1. Notice of Photography:

   Please be advised that photographs will be taken at the event for use on the Dear Future YEG website and social media pages. By entering this event, you consent to photographing and using your image and likeness.

2. Consent and Usage Rights:

   Attendees grant the organizer the right to publish, exhibit, and use images in print, online, and social media without payment.

3. Data Protection:

   Photos taken during the event will be stored securely.

4. Child/Minor Policy:

   For participants under the age of 18, explicit and informed consent must be obtained from parent or guardian prior to participation.

5. Event Property:

   Photos taken at the event will remain Dear Future YEG intellectual property, usable for portfolio purposes.
